EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION - EARLY HEAD START
A child development center for children ages 0 - 3 years. Parents participate in activities with their children. Provides parenting skills training, counseling, support, and health services. Ten percent of slots are reserved for children with disabilities that have been professionally diagnosed; income guidelines may be waived for these families. Once in the program, a child remains eligible for two years. There is no preference for siblings to be in the program. Transportation provided to and from center activities.
